Set in an alternate-universe 1930s New York, the series follows Ben Reilly, an aging, down-on-his-luck private investigator who was once the citys only superhero. Haunted by a personal tragedy and his past during the Great War, Reilly is forced to suit up as "The Spider" once more when a high-stakes assassination attempt against a dangerous mob boss, Silvermane, pulls him into a vast underworld conspiracy. The show features a unique visual style, available in both authentic black-and-white and full color, blending classic hard-boiled detective noir with gritty superhero action.
