Based on the bestselling book series by Elle Kennedy, the first season focuses on the story of The Deal. Hannah Wells (Ella Bright), a witty music major, is crushing on a guy but lacks the confidence to make a move. She strikes a deal with Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli), the arrogant but charming captain of Briar Universitys hockey team: she will tutor him to keep his grades up, and in return, he will pretend to date her to make her crush jealous.
